Lauren Stover

Lauren’s (she/her) introduction into public accounting was over 20 years ago as a temporary tax season assistant while working on her Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Lauren has since earned her MBA and had the opportunity to serve a variety of clients. Lauren’s initial CPA licensure was in 2013 in New Mexico, and she is currently licensed in Colorado and can work with clients in all states.

Searching for a better work life balance, Lauren left her job at a traditional public accounting firm and launched her own company in 2014. In 2020, due to complications of the pandemic, this business had to close.

During this “pause” phase, Lauren served a term as a volunteer coordinator and consultant with a newly formed nonprofit. Additionally, she kept up with continuing education to stay current on tax laws and what they mean for individuals and businesses. In 2024, The Calculated CPA launched and was happy to welcome back many prior clients, as well as developing new relationships.

Lauren is also a mom to a very bright young human and dog, and provides a spunky cat with shelter. In her spare time, she loves to read and hike.‍ ‍
